\chapter*{Conclusion} \addcontentsline{toc}{chapter}{Conclusion} This thesis described the principles of 4G and 5G mobile networks focusing architecture, communication protocols, and specific features relevant to IoT use cases. It further analyzed \ac{LPWAN} protocols NB-IoT, LTE-M and noncellular 5G protocol DECT NR+. After providing an overview of the Nordic Semiconductor nRF9160, nRF9161 and nRF9151 chipsets with a review of commercially available development modules. Based on this research, the Connexio Pro development kit was selected for its usage of new chipset, very small form-factor and integrated features suitable for rapid prototyping of IoT devices. To demonstrate practical usage, a universal low-cost tracking application was developed using the selected kit. This kit demonstrated function of rapid prototype of tracker of smart sensor. Laboratory experimental measurements were done on nRF9160 and nRF961 using all supported protocol (NB-IoT, LTE-M, DECT NR+), focusing on key communication parameters such as power consumption measured by Nordic Power Profiler II, signal strength measured by the LTE modem itself, and data throughput calculated from combination of these. The collected data were arranged, extensively visualized and compared with theoretical expectations and to the LoRa technology. The mentioned demonstrator was than used in field experimental measurements were carried out using car on highway to verify ability of suggested scenarios to communicate in mobile setting. Important parts of findings throughout this theses were summarized in discussion chapter with comparison of mentioned protocols and outline of IoT scenarios with suggested appropriate protocols.
